Our clients home, located on a cul-de-sac in a quiet suburban neighborhood had an excellent interior layout. However, the existing plain deck and landscaping required updating to allow full appreciation of this beautiful setting. The owners goals included adding an outdoor cooking area, an eating area and a detached enclosed relaxation space which enabled them to entertain from early spring to late fall. The incorporation of durable low maintenance materials with the look and feel of natural products was also a priority to the homeowners.
A multilevel deck was necessary to accommodate the varying patio door elevations. IPE – Ironwood decking, capable of handling the changing climate with little maintenance, created a warm all natural feel.
Green powder coated spindles and low profile railings were used to provide an unobscured view for the homeowners.
Hidden recessed rope lighting is woven throughout the ironwood railings, creating an esthetically pleasing setting for long summer nights.
The gazebo incorporates a French sliding patio door and seven French Chateau windows that provide an alternative to fixed center mull casement units. Thereby creating an open-air setting within the enclosed space.
Custom made copper gazebo top was fabricated and installed.
Copper to match gazebo top was fabricated and installed on tops of all deck posts.
Attractive new landscaping was also added, utilizing soft curving lines, plantings that bloom throughout the changing seasons and a gently flowing water feature to create a relaxing environment as well as a conversation area for large or small gatherings.
The use of natural products along with new technology provided our homeowners a lasting, well functioning, outdoor living space to be enjoyed for many years.
Thank you for the excellent quality that you put into our project!!! I really can't say enough about the excellent work that you did.
